Fussie Cat makes their top-quality foods in an FDA-registered kitchen—the same kitchen that produces canned food that’s fit for people to eat. Thorough quality inspections are conducted daily for food safety, heavy metals, pathogens, contamination and pesticides, so the end product is everything that you should expect it to be.  Formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Cat Food Nutrient Profiles for all life stages.

FEEDING GUIDELINES

KITTEN

Post-weaning to 5 months old feed three times as much food as an adult cat of the same weight. Between 5 months to 1-year-old, feed kittens 1.5 to 2 times as much food as an adult cat and start feeding kittens as adults after one year. Moisten food if desired. Always maintain a clean water supply that your kitten can easily access.

PREGNANT & LACTATING CATS

Monitor and maintain an adequate source of food so that your pregnant or lactating cat can freely eat as she needs.

Always maintain a clean water supply that your pregnant or lactating cat can easily access.

These feeding guidelines are averages and the needs of individual cats may vary on their activity levels and what stage of life they are in. Generally, the more active they are (think adventurous outdoor cats) the more they’ll need to eat. Use the chart to the right to determine the nutrition guidelines for your cat.

Please consult your veterinarian for the best feeding regimen for your cat.

When switching your cat’s diet, we recommend it should be done gradually over 5-7 days, increasing the amount each day with the present diet as a sudden change in diet may result in digestive disturbances.

FOOD TRANSITION

While it’s perfectly safe to stop feeding your cat’s previous food one day and introduce Fussie Cat the next, we recommend a gradual transition to Fussie Cat for up to two weeks. This is especially true if your cat has been previously fed a high grain, corn, wheat or soy diet. Start by introducing a small amount of Fussie Cat, increasing it daily while decreasing the previous food by the same amount. This will help avoid upset stomachs as it makes it easier for your pet’s digestive system to acclimate.
